Is poor sleep slowing you down?

A good night’s sleep is essential for good health and overall wellbeing.

At Little Mountain Chiropractic we know the health of your spine can be greatly impacted by a poor night’s sleep. From old mattresses or pillows to incorrect sleeping positions and inadequate sleep hygiene, many things can place strain on your spine – potentially making it stiff and sore when you wake up in the morning.  People with sleep issues often report to us that they feel sore when they wake up and it takes them a while to get moving at the start of the day. It may not have to be this way!

According to the Sleep Foundation, 33% of your life is spent sleeping (1) , so the way you sleep should help, not hinder, your spinal health. Sleeping in awkward positions can cause back and neck pain, along with fatigue, muscle cramping and other health issues.

If you are affected by pain from poor sleep, and spinal pain is slowing you down, then consider Chiropractic care as a possible solution. Following a thorough evaluation, the Chiropractor can provide advice on management options including better sleeping positions, postural exercises, supportive mattresses and pillows to ensure you sleep well and your spine doesn’t suffer.

Regular visits to your chiropractor can also help by easing muscle tension that causes restlessness, stimulating circulation and blood flow, as well as improving central nervous system function.  Every body is different so the only way to find out if Chiropractic can help you is to call us to have a chat about your concerns or make an appointment with one of our Chiropractors.

The Chiropractors at Little Mountain Chiropractic work in partnership with you to provide appropriate, tailored care as well as lifestyle advice to prevent reoccurrence and support you in achieving the best results.

If you want to maintain a healthy neck and incorporate positive health habits into your everyday, Consider a Chiro today. At Little Mountain Chiropractic, we are committed to helping our local community achieve health and wellbeing through the support of the spine and nervous system.
